Demand a Safer Griffith Park!
It's been 3 years since Andrew was killed in a hit-and-run crash while biking for charity, and we have yet to see the improvements on Crystal Springs Dr. that SAFE helped to get funded. Join us in honoring the memory of cyclist Andrew Jelmert who was struck and killed in Griffith Park on April 16, 2022 and help us demand action from the LA Parks department.

Remembering
We will hold a brief vigil in honor of Andrew Jelmert's memory and remembrance of cyclists who have been killed in LA due to traffic violence. Three white doves will be released acknowledging the years since Andrew's death.
Griffith Park Advocacy Ride
We will then go on a leisurely no-drop ride through Griffith Park, stopping at various locations where improvements are planned and funded -- new bike lanes, safer pedestrians crossings, etc.
Demand
We will finish by holding a protest near the Riverside Dr. entrance to continue calling attention to the needs for a safer Griffith Park.
