Join SAFE in a crucial project to assess and improve the safety and quality of bike paths across LA County.
The Bike Path Report Card Project is looking for volunteers to evaluate specific sections of bike paths as you're out on your weekly rides, providing essential data that will help enhance our cycling infrastructure.
We are conducting a research project focused on California drivers’ knowledge, and want you and your networks to take our survey!
This survey will be the basis of SAFE-sponsored legislation to update drivers on new laws and promote safety for all road users. Please take 5 minutes to answer these questions on California driving laws, and share on your social media accounts and with your networks!
Tell the Mayor of Los Angeles and LA DOT that you want active transportation and safety improvements to Forest Lawn Drive as part of the planned repaving.

Finish The Ride and Run Griffith Park is coming up on 31 May and 1 June 2025. We have big plans to take this event to the next level, but we need your help.
We are looking for volunteers who want to step up as part of the FTR GP Planning Committee.
Held on the third Saturday of each month, the purpose of the Clean Ride Crew is to enhance the safety and usability of Class I and Class IV bike lanes by:
cleaning and maintaining them, and
leveraging our efforts to advocate for improved safety and cleanliness with the appropriate government agencies.
December’s Clean Ride Crew will not be held, in honor of the holidays! We’ll see you again in January!
As of this writing, traffic fatalities in the City of Los Angeles are expected to once again be above 300 for the third year in a row.
And yet, 2025 will be the 10th anniversary of the start of the Vision Zero program, a program aimed at reducing traffic fatalities to zero by 2025.
However, the core components of this program were watered down, removed, or underfunded within a few years of its start. The result is that in the last 10 years, there has been an 80% increase in traffic fatalities, primarily affecting pedestrians in underserved communities.
We again need to raise our voices and let the Mayor and our City Council know that the issue of traffic violence needs to be treated as the public health crisis that it is.
