SAFE is partnering with Metro to do community outreach for active transportation safety projects!
We are specifically doing the outreach for Central LA County (see chart below). Great partner non-profit organizations are working on the other areas of LA County.
You’re invited to a virtual community briefing on Metro's Active Transportation Strategic Plan (ATSP) Update. Community feedback to date has been fundamental in planning efforts to improve active transportation across LA County. We hope you will join us to review the ways in which your community supports active transportation and which biking, walking and rolling projects are a priority.
Please RSVP to the meeting pertaining to your community’s county subregion. To identify your subregion, refer to the subregion map and table below.
We hope you will join us to add your voice and experience!

The ATSP Update process aims to engage local communities, stakeholders and public agencies to encourage and create a better environment for active transportation opportunities across LA County.
ATSP Overview
Active transportation refers to human-powered methods of travel, such as biking, walking and rolling to get from one place to another. The ATSP was first adopted in 2016 as the vision for regional bikeways and first/last mile connectivity for all who live, work and play in LA County. Metrohas initiated the ATSP Update effort to measure progress since the initial plan and renew its goal and objectives.
